Types of Dangerous Dogs

The Pit Bull, Staffordshire Terrier, and Staffordshire Bull Terrier were bred from English Bulldogs to bull-bait larger creatures like bulls and bears by biting them in the face or head.

After the sport was forbidden in the mid-1800s, people turned the dogs against one other and bred them with smaller, faster breeds like terriers to make them more athletic.

Today, pit bulls cause most U.S. dog attacks. Damaged dogs are bred to be guard dogs or used in unlawful dogfighting and are rarely loved.

After all, these were originally called “Nanny Dogs” for their child dedication.

Chow Chow One of the oldest domestic dog breeds, the Chow Chow looks and acts like a lion. Chow Chows, originally trained to hunt and guard, are independent and headstrong, which can cause problems without a caring owner.

This breed should never live with little children or other dogs without supervision or early socialization.

With the correct kind of love and care, the noble Greyhound will race straight into your heart. They love to lounge around the house all day, but it's bad for their health if they do.
